Stoiber Group launches competition to find the Best Idea for Red Tape Reduction sponsored by the SCM Network

By: Maria Carim  [Last modified: 18/09/2008 18:39:22]

The Best Idea for Red Tape Reduction Award aims at identifying innovative suggestions for reducing unnecessary bureaucracy stemming from European law. Cutting red tape will allow companies to spend more time on their core activities and free up resources for research, innovation and growth. The purpose of the competition is to generate ideas for the European Commission to consider as part of its Administrave Burden Reduction Programme.

The March 2007 European Council endorsed the idea of setting a target to reduce administrative burdens stemming from EU law by 25% by 2012. This competition represents an opportunity to help the EU reach that target and be recognised for making a contribution to making Europe a better place to do business.
